A rotund elf

I’ve made this little guy to make my mum in law smile on Christmas day…

He’s rotund because he swallows these in one bite…

I didn’t follow a pattern, I just made him up as I went along ~ you can probably tell!! I used Stylecraft Special DK and a 3.5 mmm crochet hook.

Anyways, I’m pleased with him and think he’s rather cute 😍

    1. Thank you 😊
I tried knitting bunting and it didn’t turn out very well. I strung it up for a while all the same. I think crocheted bunting would give a better result.
I crocheted an elf last year. His head and body worked out fine but his limbs not so good! He wasn’t stuffed with a chocolate orange. I guess this latest one was guided by the mistakes in the previous one.

      1. That’s impressive to create a whole string of bunting. I knitted a few triangles to add in with fabric, but getting the dimensions right is fiddly. I’m not a crocheter so will probably just stick with fabric!
Your idea of the chocolate orange is brilliant. Looks great.

      2. Ooh now that’s a clever idea. I wouldn’t have thought of that. I sort of felted some coasters I’d knitted by accident, by pressing them. It was in slow motion…nooo! Thankfully I stopped at two! Why did I press the second. The mind boggles.😊🌸
