Eleanor over at Coastal Crochet blog is very busy person but as a stashbusting project she has started a CAL (crochet a long) this week with only four rows of a blanket to complete each week. Quite achievable don’t you think? I ummed and ahhed and have decided to join in as it will help deplete my acrylic stash collection plus create a Christmas gift. Win win 😃
I’ve never participated in a CAL before as I feel they are too restricting and I would lose interest. (That’s just me!) But this one fits nicely with my goals this year (see this post Happy 😊 New Year .)
Fancy learning more about it and perhaps join in? Take a look here .
I’m off to choose some yarn

So pleased to have you joining in! 😊❤️❤️

Yes. It doesn’t seem so overwhelming as some of them and I don’t have to spend any money 💰 win win

Looks great, good luck! 🙂 I know myself so I know I’d feel really anxious if I couldn’t just crochet at my own speed and finish it before starting a different project so I know CALs/ KALs are not my thing. But I’m looking forward to your posts with progress updates!

Yes, I understand that and it’s one of the reasons I hadn’t joined in before. It will be interesting to see if I can follow it through. I think my non blogging friend is going to join in too. Thank you Kat xx 😚

Good Luck to you. I think it will be fun. I’ve seen the results of such challenges (for knitters) and they are amazing.
Some decide on a color for the temp and knit or crochet that week the color for the general temperature. For example, when it’s 90 plus degrees they use red, or perfect 70’s they use blue etc. They determine the colors beforehand by their stash. Very fun to see the blanket at the end of the year.

Yes I’ve seen a few plus temp’ scarves etc. I haven’t made one myself. Maybe I’ll do that next year 🙂 I’ll see how I get on with this one. Thank you 🌼🌼🌼
