The excitement over receiving an email notification of the next few rows for my blanket yesterday… Oh, the glee!
This week Eleonora gave us five rows to hook. These are now complete and without wanting to sound like I’m wishing my life away, I can’t wait for next Friday! I love the way it’s eating through the surplus oddments of stash too. I used a colour changing yarn this week that started off orange at one end and ended up purpley.
Lots of other crafty stuff is going on too, I just haven’t got round to showing you yet.
Have a lovely weekend,
Tracey xxx
Oh it’s looking great Tracey! I’m so happy you’re enjoying it! 😊xx

Beautiful work. Look’s like a great way to use lot’s of colours, different yarns and learn new techniques. Doing two sounds fun. You could make a smaller one so you have two sizes.

Thank you very much 😊 that’s just what I was thinking as this present one will be quite big.
Re your posts… I made paper many years ago and found it very enjoyable. I didn’t use rag though. You may have thought of it already but just in case you haven’t… you could use salvaged tissue wedding confetti (whole), glitter, petals… I made several sketchbooks with my own paper and gave them as gifts. ❤💛💜

Thank you very much 😊 I don’t think it will take to much time to catch up. I’m thinking I might start a smaller one as I always feel disappointed when I get to the end of the four rows (five this week). I hope you find plenty of time this week xxxx 🌹🌻🌼❤

Thank you very much 😊 Is crochet something you might like to do again? There’s a huge following with renewed enthusiasm for it ❤

I would like to do some soon. I typically use crochet for edging or provisional cast ons. Your project is inspiring.

Thank you. Crochet edgings are lovely. I’ve never used a provisional cast on…well, not yet 🙂

I feel the same way about my camping quilt, which comes only once a month. In fact, I’m going to delay doing the block until late next week, just so I won’t have to wait so long for the next one! I love that rich red you threw in, what a fabulous stash buster. Hopefully, you look at many of those yarns and remember the good time making e original as well.😄 Nicely done, Tracey!

That’s a good idea Kathy 🙂 I’m dealing with it by having started another one 😆 Yes, I love that about fabric and yarn, how they have a personal history ❤
Thank you very much 😊

Well that would definitely solve the problem! But then who am I to talk? I have four quilts going at the moment…

Aww, thank you. It’s the first time I’ve made crochet bobbles. Haha 😄 they are better executed as I got further along the row.

That looks so cool!!! I’m a crocheter myself, though I put it aside for a year and recently picked it up. I like the idea of doing 5 rows a week, especially for a blanket. Just the thought of making a blanket is overwhelming.

Thank you Barb 🙂 Yes it can seem overwhelming so this is an excellent way to go about it. I’m surprised at how much I’m enjoying it ❤💐

Looking great! Not to give you more work, but if you started another, with different parts of your stash, it will probably look completely different. Great Job.

Thank you Maggie and yes I have started another one 😆 it does look different. I’ll post pictures of it at some point.
