Laughing at myself…

I was looking out through my window when the light was such that the foliage across the way reminded me of a sideways envelope! πŸ˜†Β So, I ask, does that qualify me as a true junk journaler?! πŸ˜†

First time that’s happened.

I took a picture but the light had changed a little so that the envelope flap is not quite the sideways v it had previously been a minute before…

In case your not as crazy as me, it’s the one in the middle πŸ˜†

Happy Sunday everyone,

Dunster at twilight

Lovely Husband (LH) and I walked around Dunster Castle grounds and Dunster village late yesterday afternoon as it was getting dark. I used my phone to capture the following pictures which are by no means brilliant but still give a flavour of what it is like.

Knightshayes Court

As its now considered winter at Knightshayes Court dogs are allowed into most of the formal garden and the arboretum. Yippee!

It has been a cold day and was sunny when we left home. It was a pretty journey over the moor…

To get to the formal garden we go straight through the house and out the other side. Bertie’s happy with that as he can’t smell any food.

Now for the formal garden…

We came across this family playing…

Another family…

The path led back to the formal garden…

Can you make out the wrinkly glass?

And through to the exit…

Time to wend our day home back over the moor…

Finally we get to Dunster and we’re nearly home πŸ™‚

Mid afternoon and the light so dull. It’s nice to get home to a cosy cottage.

Bye for now xxx

Dunster Castle

Would you like to come on a wee tour around Dunster Castle grounds? Yes? Let’s go!

I had planned to write a lot more but it feels like I’m creating a self imposed pressure so I shall leave as it is. If you have any questions please askΒ  Β πŸ˜ƒ

Autumn πŸ‚ at Knightshayes

Yesterday we went over the moor to visit Knightshayes again. I thought I had blogged about a few weeks ago but apparently I haven’t…my memory playing tricks again. It’s rather confused me, it doesn’t take much these days!

Knightshayes Court is a National Trust property just to the north of Tiverton in north Devon. You can find their websiteΒ here.

The old stable block and buildings now serve as entrance, shop, toilets, book room and tearoom. The house is at some distance away. Here are some images of the house but mostly of autumn πŸ‚ colour…

You can see the front of the house on their website. We didn’t visit the formal garden as we had Bertie with us. Dogs are allowed through to the garden and adjacent woodland in the winter months.
