I set myself the task of finishing two things over the weekend – my grandson’s jumper and the throw on the loom. It was a tall order and I didn’t manage to finish til just now but they are complete, yay π
So, without further ado, here they are…
I’m ace at this stashbusting π
The jumper is inspired byΒ Eleonora’s crochet along .
Everything looks so wonderful. The throw is sooooooooo pretty! I love seeing the detail up close. The colors are so soothing. Do you follow a pattern when you weave?

Thank you very much πβ€πΌ No, it’s pretty much an intuitive process for me.

I love it!!! Can you tell me more about your woven piece? What stash busting fiber did you use for it? It’s wonderful.

Hi Maggie, I think it’s nearly all Stylecraft Special dk plus one or two others, but all acrylics. It measures about thirty inches wide and the length is approx just under two metres. I use an Ashford 32 inch rigid needle loom. Let me know if there’s anything else you would like to know.
Thank you very much πβ€

It’s beautiful, Tracey. My rigid heddle is the same size but so often I do scarves. That’s great but it’s time I branch out a little. Thanks for the inspiration. I love it!

I love the two projects you’ve finished. I distinctly recognized the stitch pattern on the jumper as coming from the crochet along. It really works well for a kid’s sweater, that’s for sure! Your grandson will look super cute in it. Your weaving is outrageously lovely. The color choices were excellent but also I just love plaid throw blankets.

That throw is stunning! I’d love to learn how to weave, but the last thing I need is another fiber arts project. My wallet would not appreciate it!

Thank you π My life seems to revolve around fibre π Hmm…buying yarn can be very expensive so I spin as well. I used acrylic with this item though.

You’ve been busy. Love the jumpers – thought they were like the cal crochet when I first saw them. The scarf is absolutely gorgeous! My favourite colours. I’d ask if it was for sale, but I’ve not pennies to spare at the moment π¦

Thank you Catherine, I have started one for me π …it’s in the experimental stage at the moment.
Ah, the weaving isn’t perfect as it doesn’t like flat on one side and there are a couple of missed warps. My edges are definitely improving though and I’m happy with the thought that if I had used wool it would look a lot better. I’m glad you think it’s perfect β€ thanks xx
